For Parents
Parent Involvement
Parent involvement is essential to the success of Troop 2970. While Scouts BSA is a youth-led program, adult volunteers provide guidance, supervision, and support to ensure a safe and enriching experience for all scouts.

Volunteer Opportunities
Merit Badge Counselors
Share your expertise by becoming a merit badge counselor. Whether your background is in engineering, medicine, arts, or outdoor skills, you can help scouts earn merit badges in your area of knowledge.
Troop Committee
Join the troop committee to help with administrative tasks, fundraising, event planning, and other behind-the-scenes support that keeps the troop running smoothly.
Assistant Scoutmasters
Work directly with scouts as an Assistant Scoutmaster, providing guidance and supervision during meetings and outings while allowing youth leaders to lead.
Event Support
Help with transportation to events, assist with fundraisers, or provide support for special activities and service projects.
How to Volunteer
Parents can get involved by volunteering to be merit badge counselors, assisting with fundraisers, or serving on the troop committee. To volunteer, please contact our Committee Chair or speak with any adult leader at a troop meeting.
